1. For low flow oxygen delivery (0-2l/min or 4l/min if using larger size nasal cannula) initiated for respiratory support not long-term oxygen requirement - is oxygen humidified and what strategies/systems do you use to do this e.g. cold bubble
2. For higher oxygen requirements - is oxygen humidified and what strategies/systems do you use to do this e.g. humidification unit or Airvo 2/3
3. Do your bed spaces have piped medical air or just oxygen? 
4. Is anyone experiencing any difficulties with their delivery systems e.g. changes in equipment/interfaces etc.

Myself and the Paeds Community Nurses are developing a new training pack for Gastrostomy/NG care in schools and educational settings. It is sometimes difficult for the schools to release staff to attend training etc

We are wondering if anyone has used any suggesting online platform to submit training to? Where by there is evidence that staff have logged on and completed training rather than just being able to skip through or just say they have watched etc?

Clinical Educator National Development Programme

Those who have attended this course from across the UK have overwhelmingly said that they feel confident applying their learning to their work, that they have changed the way they design and deliver education as a result of the programme and that they would recommend it. We are delighted to be featured as an NHS educator best practice case study, which you can read on the NHS England website.

This modular programme is aimed at those working in a role with protected time for education delivery, coordination or strategy, within the health and care setting. It was designed based on the results of a national needs analysis survey involving over 800 clinical educators across the NHS. They told us that they needed a dedicated programme to develop their skills and confidence.

If you are self-motivated and want to enhance your skills in all aspects of clinical education, this programme is perfect for you. Delivered through eight online workshops across six months, you’ll also be provided with numerous resources to support self-directed learning, reflective exercises, and application to personal practice.

Winter 2027 start date: 7 January 2027

Spring 2027 start date: 25 March 2027

Good Afternoon Everyone 

Thought it would be good to ask on here. The preceptorship team at STSFT have approached myself in regards to adapting the programme here at Sunderland to incorporate paediatrics more. I was wondering if you have any input in your trusts/areas. Also would you be able to share any documents you use for programmes or for packs that the preceptees follow?
